Promusa -- A Global Programme for Musa Improvement

About Promusa

Welcome to promusa – the listserver of the ProMusa Community

ProMusa has set up this listserver, to diffuse messages and announcements to its subscribers. ProMusa is a mechanism which aims to maximise outputs and accelerate the impact of the overall Musa improvement efforts. The goal of the listserver is to facilitate communication among its members including researchers, donors, policy makers and NGOs who are interested in improving banana and plantain production at the small-holder level.

ProMusa consists of three working groups: Crop Protection, Crop Improvement and Crop Production. Separate listservers exist for these working groups as well.

The general ProMusa listserver can be used by all members:
(i) to announce meetings, seminars, and conferences that may be of interest to other subscribers;
(ii) to inform subscribers of new publications and policies;
(iii) to inform subscribers of ongoing research, achievements and results;
(iv) to function as a forum for the exchange of questions and answers, discussions and brainstorming regarding issues related to ProMusa;
(v) to request assistance in locating additional relevant information;
(vi) to share information about new funding opportunities, calls for proposals etc.

Please note that news and announcements can also be posted on the ProMusa website (www.promusa.org). The website also has discussion forums for its three working groups.

Sending mail to all subscribers can be done easily by sending it to the
promusa e-mail address: promusa@lists.cgiar.org

All members are encouraged to introduce themselves to the other subscribers by sending as their first message to promusa their name, occupation, affiliation and area(s) of interest.

PLEASE NOTE: You cannot use the "reply-to" function to reply to the list.
The return path routes messages to the postmaster, not to the list of persons. To send a message to the list, you will need to manually enter the e-mail address promusa@lists.cgiar.org.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the Promusa Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
